Gypsum board (sheetrock/drywall) began as a replacement for plaster during the 1950s, not long before our founder “Donald L. Ferguson” entered the trade. When he started his career, the drywall industry didn’t even have a specified union organized to support & train drywall workers. Nevertheless, due to its low cost & ease of installation, it quickly replaced plaster in modern construction.
Our founder practiced & perfected drywall operational standards during this developmental stage of gypsum board usage. He guided us to the point where we are today, very good at what we do.
